DR THORA CHAI

Dr Thora Chai is a clinical endocrinologist committed to providing the latest evidence-based, holistic and individualised care to her patients.

She specialises in the treatment of diabetes (both type 1 and type 2), bone health, endocrine disorders in pregnancy, such as gestational diabetes or thyroid dysfunction, polycystic ovarian syndrome and general endocrinology including pituitary, thyroid and adrenal disorders.

Dr Chai completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with first class honours at the University of Notre Dame, Australia. She was awarded a PhD from The University of Sydney, with her research investigating the relationship between fatty liver disease and gestational diabetes.

She is a Lecturer at The University of Sydney and is involved in teaching postgraduate medical students in the Master of Medicine (Metabolic Health) program. She is also a Staff Specialist Endocrinologist at Campbelltown Hospital involved in caring for young adults with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and is also involved in the integrated South West Sydney GP case conferencing diabetes program.

Her research background and significant clinical experience ensures she provides a comprehensive, personalised and compassionate approach to patient care.
